Foam
Overview
As a specialist foam manufacturer, we have a range of machines for foam conversion. We can split, shape, form and convert foam for a range of applications. From product packaging to buoyancy aids, our foam products can be found everywhere.
With strict quality control measures, we can produce large quantities of high performance foam for a range of purposes. We can split foam from 100mm down to 2mm and heat laminate multiple layers and with multiple colours.
Versatile and flexible
Foam is a versatile and hard wearing material. It is commonly used in the toy industry, theatre and film, for fancy dress costumes and to store delicate items. It also has outstanding buoyancy properties and is used extensively for marine flotation equipment as well as insulation and sealing applications.
How we work
We manage every step in the production process to ensure high quality control and complete peace of mind. From our manufacturing facility in Alcester, we can produce your foam conversion from a technical drawing. Alternatively, we can sample and produce a prototype and provide full costing. We have a low minimum order quantity and have the capacity to provide large volumes to tight production schedules.
Zotefoam supplier
SJG International is one of the few Zotefoam suppliers in the UK. Zotefoam produce high performance foams from advanced engineering polymers. We can supply a range of Zotefoam products, including Plastazote, Evazote and more. Zotefoam is used extensively throughout many industries. We can help you choose the right foam for your needs.
Sectors we supply
Automotive & Railway
Foam is often used in the automotive and railway industries for seating and upholstery. Foam is lightweight and various grades are resistant to grease, brake fluid and coolants. It contributes to reduced vehicle weight and therefore, improved fuel economy. It can also be used to provide superior protective and cushioning qualities for fragile and high cost parts.
Aerospace
Foam is used in the aerospace industry for seating, cushioning and soft trim. It has low water absorption and water vapour permeability. It can also be flame retardant and is extremely durable with excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties. It can be thermoformed, routed and water jet cut to achieve the most ergonomic and economic design.
Construction
Foam is used extensively in construction. It is very effective for filling gaps, acting as a barrier to water, oil, fuel and draughts. It can be used to seal eaves and roof flashing. It is also a consistent, durable and insulating building material. It’s ideal for expansion joints and provides soundproofing and noise control for floor joists and sports floors.
Medical
Foam is most commonly used in the mobility sector to create soft padding for wheelchairs. It can also be used for knee, arm and head supports. It is incredibly durable and resistant to water and oil, making it a hygienic choice for healthcare. It can be cleaned and used by multiple patients reducing the risk of cross contamination.
